Wendy Reed is an award winning quilt maker from Bath, Maine, who began quilting at the age of nine. Renowned for her original interpretations of traditional designs, Reed’s quilts have been featured in national publications and have received awards at exhibitions throughout the country.
As co-coordinator of Maine Quilt Heritage, a special committee of the statewide Pine Tree Quilters Guild, Reed is committed to documenting the quilts and quiltmakers of Maine. She is a charter member of the American Quilter’s Society (Paducah, KY) and has served on the board of the American Quilt Study Group (Lincoln, NE), an organization dedicated to uncovering the accurate histories of quilts and quilt related subjects.
